What we collect when you contact us, why we collect it, and how to have it deleted.

Effective September 1, 2026Last updated September 1, 2026

The short version: Avanté Plumbing collects your name and contact details when you ask us for a quote, uses them to get back to you about plumbing work, and shares them only with the services that help us run the business. We do not sell your personal information, and we never have.

This policy covers www.avanteplumbingsonoma.com and is issued by Karl D'Angelo Plumbing (“Avanté Plumbing,” “we,” “us”), 1677 Centurion Dr, Santa Rosa, CA 95403.

What information do we collect?

Information you give us

When you submit the form on our contact page, we receive your name, phone number, email address, the city you are in, the type of plumbing work you need, and whatever you write in the message field. If you call or text us instead, we keep your number and notes about the job.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, this one records basic technical information when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, the pages you view, and the time you spend on them. Your IP address is also checked against Cloudflare Turnstile, the anti-spam tool on our contact form, to confirm a person and not a bot submitted it.

We also use Microsoft Clarity, which goes further than ordinary analytics and we would rather say so plainly. Clarity records how visitors move through the site — mouse movement, scrolling, clicks and taps — and replays those sessions back to us as anonymised recordings and heatmaps, so we can see which pages confuse people. It does not capture keystrokes in form fields, and we do not use it to identify anyone. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Clarity is not loaded at all, along with everything else described here.

How do we use it?

  • To answer your question, quote your job, and schedule the work.
  • To follow up on a quote you asked for, and to reach you about a job in progress.
  • To keep records of work performed, for warranty and permit purposes.
  • To block spam and abuse of our contact form.
  • To understand which pages people find useful so we can improve the site.
  • To meet legal, tax and licensing obligations.

We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you, and we do not build advertising profiles from what you tell us on the contact form.

Do you sell my information?

No. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the past 12 months.

Who else sees it?

Only the companies that help us operate, and only for that purpose. They are bound to protect it and may not use it for their own ends:

  • BaaDigi — our marketing agency, which manages this website and receives a copy of quote requests so nothing gets missed.
  • Resend — delivers contact-form submissions to us as email.
  • Vercel — hosts this website and keeps standard server logs.
  • Cloudflare — provides the Turnstile anti-spam check on our form.
  • Google Analytics — reports anonymous, aggregated traffic patterns.
  • Microsoft Clarity — records anonymised session replays and heatmaps showing how visitors use the site. Microsoft processes that data on our behalf.
  • Advertising platforms such as Google Ads and Meta — when we are running advertising, their measurement tags may record that a visit to our site came from one of their ads.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses cookies and similar technologies for three things: measuring traffic through Google Analytics, recording anonymised session replays through Microsoft Clarity, and running the anti-spam check on the contact form. We do not use cookies to identify you personally.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time — the site will still work. To opt out of Google Analytics everywhere, Google publishes a browser opt-out add-on. We honor Global Privacy Control signals sent by your browser: if your browser sends one, we load no analytics on this site at all.

Do you respond to “Do Not Track” signals?

Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is still no agreed industry standard for what a website should do when it receives one, so this site does not respond to Do Not Track signals. We do respond to Global Privacy Control, described above, and the Google Analytics opt-out add-on works here as well. If a Do Not Track standard is settled on, we will update this section.

Can third parties track you across other sites?

To a limited extent, yes, and California law asks us to say so plainly. Google Analytics sets cookies that may let Google recognise your browser on other sites that use Google services. That is Google’s processing rather than ours, and we do not control it. We do not run advertising or retargeting pixels on this site, and we do not allow anyone to place their own tracking on it. The opt-out options above stop the Google Analytics part.

Calls, texts and email

When you give us your phone number, you are agreeing that we may call or text you about your request and the job that follows. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them, or just tell us — it will not affect work already scheduled. We do not send marketing texts to numbers that only contacted us about a repair.

How long do you keep it?

Quote requests that do not turn into work are kept for up to two years. Records tied to completed jobs are kept for at least four years, because warranty, permit and tax rules require it. Website analytics data expires on the schedule set in Google Analytics, currently 14 months.

Your rights in California

California residents may ask us to tell them what personal information we hold about them, to delete it, or to correct it, and may not be treated differently for asking. You can make a request by calling (707) 231-0790 or writing to us at the address above. We will verify your identity by confirming details you already gave us, and respond within 45 days. An authorized agent may make the request for you with your written permission.

Some records we must keep even after a deletion request — completed job records tied to permits, warranties or tax filings are the usual example. We will tell you if that applies to yours.

Security

Form submissions travel over an encrypted connection, and access to our email and customer records is limited to Karl and the people working on the job. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send payment card numbers, Social Security numbers or similar details through the website form.

Children

This site is meant for adults arranging plumbing work. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, call us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be noted here rather than made quietly.
